How we help
Your property matter in Poland, from abroad
You can start with a short description, even if your family records are incomplete and you have not visited the property for years. Tell us what you know and what you need to clarify.
An enquiry can begin from where you live
You do not need to travel to Poland simply to describe the situation. Contact us through the form or by email. Include the property’s location, the main issue and your connection with it: for example, an inherited share, an old family ownership record or relatives who have lost contact.
Tell us your country of residence and preferred way to communicate. If different relatives hold different documents, describe that rather than trying to assemble every record before making an enquiry.
What HEREDITAS works on
We bring together ownership information, genealogical research and documents connected with property in Poland. The first task is to separate confirmed facts from possible leads and identify what needs to be established before another decision.
A Polish land and mortgage register, known as a księga wieczysta, may be one part of the information available. If you do not know its number, say so. Names, previous addresses, place names and earlier family documents may still help describe the starting point.
Agree the next stage before arranging formalities
The initial assessment is free, with a reply within 7 days of receiving your enquiry. We explain whether the matter fits our scope and whether further information, research or an independent lawyer’s involvement is needed.
We do not promise that every step can be completed remotely. Personal attendance, document requirements, the scope of work and fees depend on the particular matter. HEREDITAS is not a law firm; legal advice and representation are provided independently under separate terms. Do not order translations or prepare an authorisation solely on the basis of a general website description.
What to include in your enquiry
- Your country of residence and preferred contact method.
- The location and address, or another description of the Polish property.
- Your connection with the property and the key people in its history.
- Your objective, the documents you know about and any earlier work in Poland or abroad.
Please do not send identity document scans, national identification numbers or complete case files through the open form. We can agree how to provide any necessary records later.
Questions before you contact us
Can I contact you before visiting Poland?
Yes. The first enquiry can be made through the form or by email. We agree how later steps can be handled after reviewing the individual matter.
Do I need a complete set of Polish documents first?
No. Begin by explaining what you have and what is missing. Requirements for further work must be established for the specific case.
